Babies are everywhere, which means you’re likely to either be going or throwing a baby shower sometime soon. And if you’re throwing a shower, there’s a lot to think about.
Start with the décor. There are a lot of options when it comes to decorating and unless you know if the mom-to-be is expecting a boy or a girl, it’s best to stick with neutrals like chocolate and mint green. One option for the main table is to stack it with apothecary jars in various heights and sizes. Fill these with candies like M&M’s or Jordan almonds, flowers or cotton balls and safety pins and give them to the soon-to-be mom at the end of the party so she can use the empty jars in the nursery.
Games are always on the menu at baby showers. There are a variety of games to play but a fun one is to give everyone a clip or a pin. When anyone says the word “baby,” the person that catches them can take their clip or pin. The person with the most clips or pins at the end of the party takes home a prize. Piñatas are also a fun way to get the action going.
And what about party favors? It’s always nice to send your guests off with a little reminder of the day. Jessica Alba gave everyone a bracelet but yours doesn’t have to be so lavish. Candies, cookies or even soap in a cute container are nice takeaways.
