Meet The Hosts

Lara Bell

Lara BellLara Bell is host and producer of Houston’s 55 weekly entertainment show ‘Wild About Houston.” In her spare time, she writes for several magazines including Texas Family, Bay Area and Absolutely Memorial. She is active in the broadcast community serving as Past President of the Board for American Women in Radio.  

Lara supports many charitable organizations including: medical organizations traveling to Nicaragua to give aid to the needy, co-chair of the  Houston Fire Museum 100th Anniversary Ball;  silent auction co-chair for UNICEF Gala and an avid supporter of AIDS Foundation Houston. She has co-chaired a children’s disco bowl to help raise money for Variety Club, as well as co-chaired the Momentum Mini Grand Prix Gala for the Arthritis Foundation, The Starlight Gala for American Cancer Society and Under the Big Top for Avondale House.  

Lara is a member of the Houston Polo Club, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo BBQ Committee and the Junior League of Houston. Lara also supports the arts and is a member of the Houston Symphony and the Ballet Guild. In Lara’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brent, and her 4-year-old daughter Dylan Michelle and 1-year-old son Brooks Andrew.

Jan Glenn

Jan GlennJan Glenn is co-host of “Wild About Houston,” joining the show in 1999. For more than three decades, Jan has hosted numerous shows in the Houston area, including the No. 1 local show in America “Good Morning Houston” for 14 years. She has also reported for The Nashville Network and produced and hosted Rodeo specials for television, as well as written for several magazines including Inside Houston and Texas Woman and worked in public relations and marketing.

Jan is affiliated with several professional groups including Women in Film and Television, Rice University Women’s Advisory Board and the Houston Academy of Radio/TV/Music Artists. She also gives tirelessly of herself to many area organizations including the Houston Humane Society, Citizens for Animal Protection, Pet Ministry for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the Leukemia Society. She has also served on the Advisory Board for the American Lung Association and as a spokesperson for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jan graduated from Texas Tech University and lives in Houston with her two cats, George Strait Eyes (he’s cross-eyed) and Tammy Whynot.

Lauren Lanning

Lauren LanningLauren Lanning is a reporter for "Wild About Houston," covering Houston's best events and interviewing top chefs and local celebrities.  

A former Miss Houston USA 2005 and Miss Texas USA 2006, she placed in the Top 10 at the nationally televised Miss USA pageant.

Lauren has a strong philanthropic background and has volunteered for many causes including the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Shriner's Burn Center in Galveston, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Children's Assessment Center of Houston. Prompted by four generations of family members who dealt with breast cancer, Lauren and her sister, Taylor, to implement their own non-profit organization, "Coins For The Cure."   In 2005, she was given a proclamation from the State of Texas that recognized her charitable efforts.  

In 2007, Lauren developed a program called "Lasting Impression" as a way to mentor and coach young women in the world of pageantry.  Lauren is a college graduate with a degree in communications.  She currently resides in Houston with her husband, Andrew and son, Landon. 

Kelli Reiff

Keli ReiffKelli Reiff, the host of the “Wild About Houston Minute”,  was born and raised in Houston and currently attends the University of Mississippi. In between studying, Kelli is also the weather anchor for News Watch Channel 99 in Oxford, Miss. Kelli will graduate from Ole Miss in May 2009 and hopes to continue working in the media industry.

Carson Brown

Carson BrownCarson Brown has been reporting for Wild About Houston since November 2007. She reports on the teen scene for Wild About Houston. Carson has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including “Material Girls,” “Even Money,” “ER” and “Zoey 101.” She will be a sophomore this fall and enjoys ranching, horseback riding, dancing and singing.
