Bart Enis: "I Like Rockets Chances"

Fox Sports Houston sportscaster Bart Enis stopped by Sports Off Center to talk with Craig Roberts about the Rockets, Tracy McGrady (T-Mac) and the Astros.

On the Rockets chances: I like their chances a lot because this team once they got on that winning streak, they figured out how to win, and they figured out if they played defense first everything flows off of that. Look at the road wins the last couple of weeks – New Orleans, San Antonio, Denver. When they go on the road now, they're a very good defensive team and they have to be that if they're going to win on the road in the NBA.

On being a better team without T-Mac: I think they're a better team without T-Mac playing on one leg. I give the guy credit for trying to earn his money – he earns a lot of it – and he's trying to earn but the truth of the matter is it got to the point that when Tracy was out there it became four guys standing around Yao Ming jackin' up three's and Tracy's not a great perimeter shooter, but that's what he was relegated to when he was playing on one leg. Now you take him out and everybody has to do different things. They have to play as a team, and they're functioning better that way.

On the Astros winning 90+ games this season: Everybody needs to keep in perspective that Spring Training means absolutely nothing. The pitching has looked better than everyone though and the bats have been worse than everyone thought.
