Postcards from Texas is a weekly television series that focuses entirely on bringing the wonderful history of our Houston and Southeast Texas region to life. We want to make learning about our history an enjoyable exercise, so to that end, we always encourage people to learn more about the stories we do and the places we visit. This area's history belongs to all of us, so browse around and then take the time to visit some of these museums, libraries or archives in person. You're never too old to learn something new.

We've organized these links by county, but beyond that we want you to browse. We promise you'll find something new and interesting if you do. Please note that the City of Houston is broken into two parts, citywide entities and historic neighborhoods, and all are listed  separately from Harris County due to sheer number.

If you think we've missed a local history site that needs to be listed or you know of a link that has changed, please send us an e-mail. We want this to be a comprehensive, go-to resource for getting in touch with our region's past. So get out there and learn more, and consider getting involved to preserve our rich regional history.

Enjoy,
