Team of the Week

Eisenhower Eagles

from High School Sports Live October 18 show
To the Eisenhower Eagles, every game is a big game and that was no different when they played the Humble Wildcats.

Living up to the preseason hype as one of the area's top 5A team, the Eagles won big over the Wildcats, 49-7, making them this week's Army Strong Team of the Week.

"We came to play, and the outcome showed it," Quarterback Kenneth Guiton, who threw for 225 yards and a touchdown, said.

The Eagles had 400 yards of offense against Humble and leading the way for the team was Running Back Curtis McGregor, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on the night.

"Offensively I think we have a lot of weapons to go to," Coach Ray Evans said. "We have four good receivers, a quarterback who is doing an outstanding job. Our running game is clicking and our passing game is clicking."

But not to be outdone, the defense also helped by scoring two touchdowns and a safety.

"We're looking for bigger and better things," Evans said.

And for one night they were definitely bigger and better. Now that's Army Strong.
