Monique Smalls

College Park senior point guard Monique Smalls is a key part of the third-ranked Cavaliers team. With her quick hands and even quicker thinking, shes got area teams helpless defending her.

"Shes a great passer," Coach Kip Anderson said. "She sets up her teammates to score, and shes a very very unselfish player."

Smalls is both aggressive and smart – qualities that help contribute to her average of 8 steals, 8 assists and 14 points a game.

"Wherever the ball is, I try to steal it," Smalls said.

Stealing helped Smalls have a tremendous game against Cy-Falls in the regional quarterfinals. She ended the game with 16 points, 10 assists and 14 steals.

"I was so pumped for that game because I wanted to get past that second level so bad," Smalls said.
