According to Coach Neil King, Charlton Jones, a point guard for the Cinco Ranch Cougars, is a competitor in every sense of the word.
The stats don't lie, nor does the long line of family members who played basketball who came before him – three older brothers and an older sister who all played for Cinco Ranch.
"He's passionate," King said. "He loves the game. It's just a great basketball family. They're very knowledgeable about the game. They just love the game."
Jones was named to the First Team All-District last year, and this year he's angling for a spot on that same team. He scores 22 points a game and is the fourth leading scorer in Class 5A.
So what does the three-year letterman attribute his success to?
"Practice," Jones said. "Coach King had us working off season last year after our season. As a new coach he's tried to input some stuff and it's been working."
